Anderson, IN — The Indiana Horse Racing Commission approved Harrah's Hoosier Park's 2021 live racing dates during their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday (Dec. 10).

Offering 160 days of live harness racing, the 2021 racing season will begin on Friday (March 26) and extend through Saturday (Dec. 4). 2. Harrah's Hoosier Park Casino is a great place to visit if you come to Anderson Indiana. There are lots of fun things to do and I actually won within about twenty minutes of my arrival!
  3. One of the most prolific trainers in Canadian harness racing history, William 'Bill' Robinson of Caledonia, Ont. Passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, at the age of 74. Robinson didn't come from a horse racing background, getting involved with racing after going in on a $1,500 claiming horse with a bunch of friends with working at a local.

Fresh off the heels of the 2020 live racing season where Harrah's Hoosier Park posted a sensational all-sources handle increase of more than 30 percent from the previous year's numbers, the 2021 live racing season will feature some exciting new additions.

Beginning on March 26, racing will be held on a Wednesday through Saturday schedule through mid-May before adding Sunday evenings. The full schedule continues through September before dropping back down to a Wednesday through Saturday schedule through Dec. 4. For the first time ever, Harrah's Hoosier Park will also offer live racing on both the night before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving night.

'With the success of the 2020 racing season now in the rear view mirror, the Harrah's Hoosier Park racing team now has its sights fully focused on 2021 and building on the momentum that has been established,' Harrah's Hoosier Park's Vice President and General Manager of Racing Rick Moore noted. 'To that end, planning begins today for the Friday (March 26) opening and the 159 racing days beyond. We remain committed to the highest quality of racing and look forward to welcoming live racing back to Harrah's Hoosier Park in March.'
